1) Material

The structural integrity begins with the housing, cast from Spheroidal graphite cast iron (QT450). The internal gear and gear shaft components are forged from Low carbon alloy steel (20CrMnTi), providing a hardened surface capable of withstanding constant metal-on-metal engagement without fatiguing.

2) Processing technology

Sun and planet gears feature spur gear teeth that are deeply case-hardened and precision ground. Annulus gears are mostly quenched and tempered, then shaped or ground depending on their specific dimensional size. Bevel gears are case-hardened and, depending on size, lapped, HPG-cut, or ground. The gears and gear shafts of the primary gear stages have helical teeth and are case-hardened and ground.

This strict thermal and mechanical processing ensures the entire transmission achieves DIN6 (ISO1328) precision standards. The resulting ultra-low backlash and exact tooth geometry drastically minimize mechanical noise.
