Planetary gearbox is an important component widely used in mechanical transmission. When a pair of gears engage, there will inevitably exist errors such as pitch and tooth profile, which will produce meshing impact in the process of operation and produce noise corresponding to gear meshing frequency. Friction noise also occurs between tooth surfaces due to relative sliding. As gears are the basic parts of gearbox transmission, it is necessary to reduce gear noise to control gearbox noise. Generally speaking, the main causes of gear system noise are as follows:

1. Gear design. Improper parameter selection, too small coincidence, improper profile modification or no modification, unreasonable gear box structure and so on. In gear processing, pitch error and tooth profile error are too large, side clearance is too large, surface roughness is too large, etc.

2. Gear system and gearbox. Eccentricity of assembly, low contact accuracy, poor parallelism of shaft, insufficient stiffness of shaft, bearing and support, low rotation accuracy and inappropriate clearance of bearing, etc.

3. Input torque in other aspects. The fluctuation of load torque, torsional vibration of shafting, balance of motor and other transmission pairs, etc.
